Poem: Beside You

Waking up beside you... Listening to your breath,
Feeling me beside you... Sinking into the depths...

It's the depths of my soul that you seep into every time our eyes meet...
It's my curiosity you peak and although I want to say something, it's the truth I can't speak...

See... I can speak words on words on words and tell you what you want to hear,
but against my better judgment my mouth is silence and the quiet is sincere.

Cause see the truth...
Although romantic, I must say it's a bit scary, I've never been on a ride like this before
you holding my hand as we walk through this door.
The hallways seem dark and unpredictable the turns are sharp but sentimental.
You make me smile and stay in my thoughts. I try to remain hard but you prefer me soft.

You see, being soft... Is what got me here in the first place,all dazed and confused,
in your heart you say I'm in first place. Wait i wasn't looking for love in the first place,
but you have filled me up and without you... I will lose out... I won't place.

I would rather say nothing then tell you lies, I would rather be innocent with you then lay on that guilty side.
You have me wanting to be better and it's hard to deny... 
Truth...I could love you forever just you and I.
